Di Perantauan

It has been some time since I posted in this blog. I had been away from base since early September.. My husband, our youngest son and me had just settled in Adelaide, South Australia. We will probably stay for a year here. Adelaide is a beautiful and well-planned city.. but we had experienced a lot since we first arrived. Our house in Davoren Park was broken into on the day we moved in.. we lost quiet a lot.. inc.. both our video and digital cameras!! Mcm maner nak amik gambo?? Teruk lah omputih nie.. same jer mcm mat dadaH kat m'sia.. apa saje kebas! Tp one thing yg paling senang hidup kat sini, senang dapat makanan halal.. Mcm kat Central Market (sini panggil CM.. chinatown lah tu) ada halal butcher.. dan kalo kat city tu ada beberapa restoran makanan halal... Janji ader duit.. beli jer.. Tp cost of living kat sini mmg tinggi... Sewa rumah kami skrg kat Hampstead Gardens, 5km dari city AUD155.00 per week (AUD1.00 = RM2.80). Harga brg keperluan pun agak mahal... Anyway.. we are making the most of our stay here.

Shown here is a baby bug and an adult bug. A colony of this pesT had infected our kitchen garden recently. Our bitter gourd that grows at the backyard fence died due to this infestation. Pokok peria kecik tu, maid kami yg tanam.. dulu banyak buahnya...Puas makan dan bagi orang dekat2 umah kami. Ntahlah pokok tu nak tumbuh smula ke X.

Ye Ole' FERRY

View from the Penang Island FeRRy as the SUN rises. This form of ferrying people has been around for so long. It should not be STOPPED!! Do Penang need a NEW briDgE?? Ntahlah ye.... TP kalo pikir masaK2 laH....Nak wat ape????? Nak bagi lg ramai orang maTi ker??? Comeon... let US be Brilian sket! Betul X?

Until dusk they managed to get 15 tourists who willingly participated in the survey. WELL DONE! team .. x pandai cakap omputih pon boleh!.. sebat aje lah.. Yg jumpa pelancong Jepun lagi best... main angguk2 aje lah! Nasib baik belajar Jepun masa kat UiTM.. bolehlah taram sikit.. Anyway.. the field work was great! wasn't it?

Blue Skies Ahead

View overlooking Selat Melaka from Balairaya Kg. Tepi Sungai, Kuala Muda Kedah. This place was the hardest hit area in M'sia by the Dec 26 2004 tsunami. On the background, across the Muda River estuary is Penang island. How development can be so selective and economic driven! On one side, life is hard, poor and uncertain.. but... on the other side, life is... money! leisure and luxury. Let us ALL do our BIT to narrow this regional disparity. Our hopes should remain HIGH. Lets PRAY that ALLAH will not sent more disaster to US.

SmaLL City Bus

This image was captured at the Sungai Petani Bus Station recently. A similar bus was also seen plying the Sg. Petani - Kota Kuala Muda Route. Way to GO! Public transportation should be the way to MOVE people around. Let's not follow the so called planned cities in Selangor! yg konon2 dah MAJU tu... Public transport??? x ubah mcm bas mini zaman dulu2.. brasap itam! kecik! kotor! Sume org xnak naik bas! Org miskin pon sama.. ikat perut nak bayar hutang kreta.... tgk aje bas Tesco yg free kat Shah Alam tu.. mcm xde org naik jer! Org. bandar dah x reti naik bas agaknya.. ish..ish..

Kelihatan di sini, town planning students UiTM menghabiskan masa di salah satu urban plaza semasa lawatan akademik mereka ke Pusat pentadbiran Kerajaan Persekutuan di Putrajaya baru-baru nie. Ingat anak2 ku..... mahal nak bina bandaraya moden tu... jangan menyepahkan pulak dengan sampah, yer! Kalo wat sampah & x jumpa tongnya, simpan aje dalam poket.. buang bila balik k.. KeBERSIHan tu sebahagian dari IMAN.

WoRLd's largest Town Planning Department

With more than 55 lecturers in both Shah Alam and Sri Iskandar campuses, it would be safe for UiTM to claim to have the largest town planning department. With these many brilliant brains and experts in urban planning, a lot of innovation and creativity could be thought of ... IF only everyone want to use their BRAIN! If Not, most of the talent and intelligence would just go down the drain..

enough! is ENOUGH!!

When UiTM's Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Surveying first moved into our new building 15 years ago, the view from here was undulating plantation land. Now, most of the greens have gone to give way for urban development .. houses.. and more houses which doesn't seem to be enough. There need to be a STOP! to this destruction. Let the HILLs stay majestiC at the background.

This is My bird because of its colour .. yeLLow is my favorite color. I thought i saw 2 of such birds that afternoon, but this one came closest to our Home. It stayed for quite a while on that tree.

Stupid Bird

This stupid bird was trapped in the ladies toilet somewhere in June last year. I seek my husband's help to help it get out through the toilet upper window. This toilet has been upgraded now... Alhamdulillah... finally we enjoy a world-class toilet!

Bee Hive Comes To Town

Pada satu tengahari di bulan April tahun lepas (2005) masa balik ke rumah nak hantar anak sulung, kami dihurungi lebah... mula ingat lalat..rupanya lebah nak bersarang kat pokok depan umah kami... mula-mula tak tahu kat mana sarangnya... sampai masuk dalam master bedroom ikut tingkap.. x tau nak wat ape.. mujur maid tahu... dia pun bakar ubat nyamuk... rupanya lebah lari bila kena asap.. lalu anak-anak hero kami pun bakar kertas surat kabar.. nak cepat halau keluar lah kononnya... tp tahulah kertas bila dibakar...kalut lah jadinya... Masa tu the man of the house x de... pi belajar kat Australia... Kami pon panggil bomba... malam baru diorang sampai siap dgn kereta bomba besar... semua jiran hairan.. org. bomba sembur api kat lebah tu...
