Slamat Hari Wilayah Persekutuan

Kepada warga WP Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, dan Labuan, Slamat menyambut Hari Wilayah Persekutuan 2007 hari ini. Kita harus berbangga dengan kota-kota indah yang telah berjaya dibina di Malaysia, hingga kini. Namun, masih banyak lagi yang boleh dilakukan untuk memakmurkan lagi kawasan bandar kita. Setiap orang perlu memainkan peranan masing-masing, walau sekecil mana sekali pun. Dan yang paling penting, adalah "political will" untuk betul-betul merencanakan pembangunan tanpa menjejaskan keindahan alam ciptaan Tuhan.

Pemandangan indah ini dirakam dari pantai "West Beach" Adelaide pada waktu senja 15 Januari 2007. Masyarakat Australia xde pantang larang pasal senja kala @ maghrib mcm masyarakat melayu di M'sia. So waktu2 begini, masih ramai berada di pantai... masih mandi-manda, piknik, sunbathing dll xtvt kat pantai.. Tapi ptg tu ramai pulak mcm dtg melihat sang mentari terbenam!! Rupa2nya pd ptg tu sebuah komet kelihatan di langit Barat semasa matahari terbenam. Boleh lihat ngan mata kasar jer.. so renung betol2 foto ni... nampak x satu cahaya putih... mcm bintang... tulah dia komet! Kalau nak baca lebih lanjut, berikut ada link...

Pelangi menjemput tahun 2007

Moga 2007 membawa kejayaan, menyinari pintu2 HATI kita, mewarnai kehidupan ini seindah pancaran pelangi. The rainbow appeared after an afternoon rainfall which continued into the night with thunderstorms accross Adelaide. View towards northeast.

Di Perantauan

It has been some time since I posted in this blog. I had been away from base since early September.. My husband, our youngest son and me had just settled in Adelaide, South Australia. We will probably stay for a year here. Adelaide is a beautiful and well-planned city.. but we had experienced a lot since we first arrived. Our house in Davoren Park was broken into on the day we moved in.. we lost quiet a lot.. inc.. both our video and digital cameras!! Mcm maner nak amik gambo?? Teruk lah omputih nie.. same jer mcm mat dadaH kat m'sia.. apa saje kebas! Tp one thing yg paling senang hidup kat sini, senang dapat makanan halal.. Mcm kat Central Market (sini panggil CM.. chinatown lah tu) ada halal butcher.. dan kalo kat city tu ada beberapa restoran makanan halal... Janji ader duit.. beli jer.. Tp cost of living kat sini mmg tinggi... Sewa rumah kami skrg kat Hampstead Gardens, 5km dari city AUD155.00 per week (AUD1.00 = RM2.80). Harga brg keperluan pun agak mahal... Anyway.. we are making the most of our stay here.

Shown here is a baby bug and an adult bug. A colony of this pesT had infected our kitchen garden recently. Our bitter gourd that grows at the backyard fence died due to this infestation. Pokok peria kecik tu, maid kami yg tanam.. dulu banyak buahnya...Puas makan dan bagi orang dekat2 umah kami. Ntahlah pokok tu nak tumbuh smula ke X.

Until dusk they managed to get 15 tourists who willingly participated in the survey. WELL DONE! team .. x pandai cakap omputih pon boleh!.. sebat aje lah.. Yg jumpa pelancong Jepun lagi best... main angguk2 aje lah! Nasib baik belajar Jepun masa kat UiTM.. bolehlah taram sikit.. Anyway.. the field work was great! wasn't it?

Blue Skies Ahead

View overlooking Selat Melaka from Balairaya Kg. Tepi Sungai, Kuala Muda Kedah. This place was the hardest hit area in M'sia by the Dec 26 2004 tsunami. On the background, across the Muda River estuary is Penang island. How development can be so selective and economic driven! On one side, life is hard, poor and uncertain.. but... on the other side, life is... money! leisure and luxury. Let us ALL do our BIT to narrow this regional disparity. Our hopes should remain HIGH. Lets PRAY that ALLAH will not sent more disaster to US.

This image was captured at the Sungai Petani Bus Station recently. A similar bus was also seen plying the Sg. Petani - Kota Kuala Muda Route. Way to GO! Public transportation should be the way to MOVE people around. Let's not follow the so called planned cities in Selangor! yg konon2 dah MAJU tu... Public transport??? x ubah mcm bas mini zaman dulu2.. brasap itam! kecik! kotor! Sume org xnak naik bas! Org miskin pon sama.. ikat perut nak bayar hutang kreta.... tgk aje bas Tesco yg free kat Shah Alam tu.. mcm xde org naik jer! Org. bandar dah x reti naik bas agaknya.. ish..ish..
